Mission
Our plan is to travel through Africa, connecting and educating cultures by producing authentic African stories. We look to involve our American aquantances in co-production thereby bridging the continental gap. When it comes to employment and development, our employees will be trained and equipped with the necessary skills to enable them to grow in the film industry. We feel that it is our social responsability to create equal oportunities for the youth in rural areas with emphasis on the underpriveliged. With our country celebrating twenty years of democracy, we feel obligated to produce positive, inspiring material that engages and motivates our society
WHAT WE DO
Black Iris Productions are in business to produce quality television programmes , events coverage, music videos, EPKs, current affairs for news agencies, graphic design, corporate videos and subtitling as well as post production for different companies. Black Iris will also be facilitating international productions, in South Africa, by offering content coverage, crew and general production support. We also have an interest in the licensing of international content and film production for different government departments.
Training and Development
Black Iris wants to contribute towards industry growth in South Africa. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to learn and grow. We will be taking on juniors as trainees and giving them the oportunity to learn in a practical environment from an experienced film crew. Our aim is to equip the youth with the skills needed to venture into the proffesional film production arena.
